Practiser is an online based accounting practice. We provide finance related business support services ranging from basic book-keeping and administration support, accounting services and tax, through to high level corporate planning and strategy services, all at reasonable prices which are generally significantly less than mainstream conventional accounting practices.
In essence, we do not have premises. Our people work from home and are linked to each other via the internet. They are drawn from a vast army of highly skilled people including chartered accountants, book-keepers, insolvency specialists, lawyers and others, all of whom prefer to work from home for one reason or another, usually related to family circumstances or preferred location. Because we do not have many of the overheads associated with conventional businesses - rent, rates, property insurances, etc. - we are able offer prices to clients which are lower than conventional firms.
To facilitate all of this, we use secure online facilities linking us to our clients on a 24/7 basis. These facilities become your online filing cabinet allowing you to upload, download and store documents and information which is then accessible from anywhere in the world on a 24/7 basis. We also utilise a fully featured online accounting system which can be maintained by clients, by us or by any combination of us and you. This allows us to constantly monitor our clients' financial health as well as allowing them access to up to date information anytime from anywhere in the world. Our broadband connections allow us many communication options, including video conferencing if required.

Practiser was started by Nick Robinson, a highly experienced chartered accountant who has operated at the highest levels in the accounting profession and who has a track record of both growing his own business and helping clients to do the same. Nick is a licensed insolvency practitioner and has specialised in the past in corporate turnaround as well as growing the Scottish business of a national firm of accountants from zero to become the sixth largest in Scotland within ten years.
Latterly, Nick was heavily involved in the firm's e-business strategy and saw a niche to develop a partially online accounting and business support practice, offering highly cost effective services.
